Flag Football
As it continues to grow in popularity, Yorkville is proud to offer the largest flag football program in NYC, serving over 2,000 children each year in grades K through 12. In addition to our NFL Flag-affiliated rec-league, we also offer weekday clinics and elite travel Flag Football teams for various ages. Lastly, we also host three exciting tournaments each year – sign up your team for the Turkey Bowl, Shamrock Showdown, or Summer Kickoff Classic!
SPRING 2025
Flag Football Sundays
- Sundays March 30th - June 8th (skipping April 20th and May 25th)
- Games played on Randall's Island
- Age groups are determined by each player's school grade
- Game times may change based on the number of players registered
- All players are provided with and required to wear an NFL Flag jersey to every game
- Volunteer Coaches Welcome!
Flag Football Friday Night Lights
- Fridays, March 28th - June 6th (skipping April 18th & May 23rd)
- Games played on Randall's Island
- Age groups are determined by each player's school grade
- Game times may change based on the number of players registered
- All players are provided with and required to wear an NFL Flag jersey to every game
- Volunteer Coaches Welcome!
Shamrock Showdown Tournament
- $420 per team until Jan 27 >> $495 per team starting Jan 28
- Saturday, March 8th, 2025
- Games played on Randall's Island
- Teams are guaranteed a minimum of 3 games
- Tournament winners receive CHAMPIONSHIP RINGS!
- Yorkville will provide jerseys, flags, balls and referees.
WINTER 2024/2025
Flag Football Winter League
- Sundays Dec. 8 - Mar. 2 (skipping Dec. 22, 29, Feb. 16)
- Various Manhattan Fields & Gyms
- Age groups are determined by each player's school grade
Yorkville Eagles Travel Flag Football
Yorkville is proud to present the next level of flag football.
Both Boys and Girls aged 9-14 (as of 1/1/2024), are eligible to try out for Yorkville's Flag Football Tournament Teams. These will be highly competitive teams playing in age-appropriate divisions, and players will be selected based on their performance, level of commitment, and positive attitude during tryouts.
All teams will play in local tournaments that are within 3 hours driving distance from NYC. Additionally, teams will participate in the annual Regional Tournament sponsored by the NFL. Regional Tournament winners may qualify to play in the National Championships at the Pro Bowl. Lastly, teams may qualify to play in the Tournament of Champions at MetLife Stadium!
The 'U' stands for 'Under' - example '10U' means 10 and under. Birthdate is calculated using 1/1/2024 as the starting age. If your child was 10 or under on 1/1/2024, they are eligible to play in that division. There will be no exceptions to this age rule.
