Shane has played in Yorkville since the age of 8. He originally started playing travel baseball but soon found that his true passion was basketball. Shane then continued to play basketball in our league right through high school. Also during this time he played flag football and shined as a quarterback.
Shane went on to play high school basketball for York Prep. He started all 3 years of his York Prep career while leading his team in scoring and 3 point shots. During the summers of his high school days he played for the Metro Hawks, a top-level travel basketball team that played in national tournaments all over the east coast. During this time he got exposed to many of the Division 1 basketball school coaches.
Shane deciding to play at Manhattan College on a full scholarship has been a 4 year starter. In his freshman year the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference awarded him rookie of the year honors, while being ranked 98 in the nation in 3 point shooting. Continuing to shine for the school he scored 1000 points, set the schools record with 276 - 3 point shots and then went on to become one of only 5 players in the MAAC conference history to make more than 300 - 3 pointers,
Shane has aspirations to continue his basketball career after college on a professional team either here or in Europe
