  Fall Travel Basketball TRYOUTS

Yorkville Youth Athletic Association is dedicated to providing an environment in which children and adults have fun with basketball. We want to instill in our players an appreciation and enjoyment of the game, by teaching them the basic skills and strategies in an atmosphere that promotes teamwork and good sportsmanship.

MISSION

Our goal is to offer certain talented young athletes who reside in the environs of New York City with the opportunity to play basketball on a structured team who will compete against other teams of similar age groups.

It s our intention to expose our local talent to various concepts, which have proved to be advantageous to other similar young persons.  We will reinforce the merits of discipline and demonstrate that a person who can control his performance can maintain their individuality within a small group and at the same time reach a higher level of performance by drawing from the talents of the other members of the group.

Last, but not least, our team will be a representation of the multi national, ethnic and socio-economic diversity of New York City.  The chemistry, which we hope to create together with the exposure to certain local college coaches who will be invited to visit our practices and games, will certainly benefit all of the young persons who participate in the program.
