Welcome to HEAD START CHESS
An
exciting introduction to the game of Chess, Students will
enjoy small Student to Teacher ratio, Chess art
projects, real live games and fun "Tournament like"
activities. Students receive training according to their
individual levels. Head Start is a whole new way to
introduce, engage and captivate beginners and intermediate
players in the new (yes new) exciting game of Chess.

Academy
A program for advanced beginners(Head Start
alumni)
Children continue to enjoy a close
to Teacher Student ratio and continue to progress
in preparation for League play and beyond!Introduction
of more advanced topics, notation, and famous
games.

Instructional Chess League AND Tournament Preparation
"Where everyone is a winner"
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~  Students will enjoy multiple stations
of "technique training" for 30 minutes and then begin
playing; good natured, competitive, League Chess. Results
and Weekly Standings will be posted. Instructors will
observe and offer specific training to Students based on
these observations.
Chess NYC's unprecedented approach
promotes learning through, instruction, games, competition
and then...tailored instruction...and back to games. Many
legendary, famous Chess Players will appear at these
sessions. | |
