Yorkville Youth Athletic Association is very excited to have made a special discovery.

New York City Chess Inc. makes the critical game of chess fun for all levels of play. Through thoughtful, fun and intelligent instruction and competition for appropriate ages, they are able to engage and command interest and joy from all participants, on a level I have not seen before.

Chess is an excellent addition to athletics and education as it helps stimulate the mind and improve areas such as critical thinking, analytical abilities, and concentration. In fact Chess is required Curricula in over 30 Countries and increasingly in the U.S.A, Colleges and Universities are actually offering Chess Scholarships.

New York City Chess Inc has figured out how to teach this timeless game in a fun way that will give our Children a necessary edge.

This Summer... Keep those skills "in tact"

New York City Chess and the Head Start Chess program is offering exciting and fun programs ALL SUMMER LONG!   In addition to groups and private lessons all over the City, the Summer Chess Schedule at the world famous Village Chess Shop includes:

Daily Drop Off Chess Camps
Chess, indoor and outdoor activities
all Summer, all day long
for all ages and skill levels.
Monday thru Friday from 8:30 AM until 4:30 PM
Weekly and Daily rates just $395/$100

Daily and weekly "After Camp Camp"
Chess Instruction and play for all ages and levels
6:30 PM until 8:30 PM
Weekly and Daily rates just $150/$45

Chess Buddy Family Groups:
Family game time an Instruction 1 hour @ a time!
Purchase packs of 10/5/1 just $75 per session.

Come down to The Village Chess Shop, play some games, pick up some tips and take a walk around this beautiful and historic neighborhood. You can even drop off the kids and go "grab a bite".
